Revisit this Thai restaurant when I went back to Malaysia. This restaurant has been our all-time favorite since my mum's local friend introduced her. We love their seafood cooked with varies kind of authentic Thai style sweet, sour and spicy sauce. The concept of this restaurant is a cozy Thai village surrounded by greens, featuring the country style Attap roof with timber log as the pillar and the walls offer rich wood furnishes. Whereas the dining tables and sitting bench it is made of rail wood sleepers, and bar top with thick generous rustic wood.

Khunthai was origin by a local Butterworth based family in 1999. The atmosphere of the restaurant was designed for the family to dine in to relax with Thai music in the air and dining accompany with simple and freshly homecooked authentic Thai cuisine at a reasonable price. Their kitchen crew is 100%, Thai. They have evolved from a humble beginning of 10 tables to currently serving more than 280 tables over the years. 5 different branches of the restaurants located at Butterworth, Pinang Island, Petaling Jaya, Kepong, and Klang.
